"ATLAS SHRUGGED SURVEY" HAS SURPRISING RESULTS

November 4, 2009

A recent Zogby national online survey commissioned by the Ayn Rand Institute indicates that 24.8 percent of the 2,232 respondents have read Ayn Rand’s novel “Atlas Shrugged.”

When asked why they chose to read “Atlas Shrugged,” 37.6 percent of respondents in the online survey said it was recommended by a friend or colleague, 18.4 percent had it assigned or recommended in school, 9.9 percent read or heard about it in a print/Internet article or radio/TV program, 8.4 percent saw it in a library, and 1.9 percent noticed it in a bookstore.

The survey also indicated that 19.8 percent of respondents have read Ayn Rand’s “The Fountainhead,” 6.9 percent “Anthem,” 4 percent “We the Living,” and 3 percent “The Virtue of Selfishness.”

In the past two years, national telephone surveys of about 1,100 people have indicated that 8.1 percent of respondents had read “Atlas Shrugged.” The latest online survey was randomly drawn from a pool of several hundred thousand people while the telephone surveys were drawn at random from ---larger lists of people who own telephones.

STOP SOCIALIZED MEDICINE

+ RAISE FUNDS FOR YOUR GROUP

Pre-order a Box of 100 "Sick and Sicker" DVDs.

You do not need a PayPal account. Click the "Continue" link on bottom left of the PayPal screen.

The movie Sick and Sicker is more than half-way complete. You can put us over the top.

"Sick and Sicker" illustrates the brutal reality of a government-controlled medical system and provides free-market solutions to bring down the cost of health care and health insurance. We need your help to get "Sick and Sicker" out before our medical decisions are made by politicians and bureaucrats.

Everyone thinks "someone else" will finance this movie. They won't. We asked them. We need YOU to step up and buy a box. If you pre-order a box of 100 DVDs for $1,200 you can resell them to your friends or club members for $24 each and double your money. Raise money for your club and stop a government take-over of medicine at the same time!

Our goal is to sell 200 boxes each containing 100 DVDs.

Here's how it works. When you pre-order a box of DVDs we'll use the proceeds to produce additional sections of the movie. If we sell 200 boxes to raise $240K total we will use $200K of these funds to complete the movie as soon as possible. The remaining $40K will be used to produce, package and ship the DVDs, and pay sales tax when applicable. When the movie is finished we will do everything possible to get the widest possible distribution for Sick and Sicker. Publicity is the key to getting a movie in theaters and that's Freestar Media's strength. We will ship your box of DVDs no later than December 31, 2009 and we want to ship them as soon as possible to build buzz for the movie. Keep in mind that the name of the movie may change before we release the DVDs.

Questions:

Q. What if you don't raise enough funds. How will you make DVDs?

A. We can produce a DVD no matter where we are in production. In fact we could send you a 50-minute DVD right now. However there are still key elements we'd like to cover to make it a powerful and entertaining 90 minute movie. So, no matter how many boxes we sell, we have the ability and the obligation to deliver you a box of 100 DVDs of Sick and Sicker no later than December 31, 2009.

Q. How long will it take you to finish the movie.

A. If we had all the funds we need on Day One we can complete the movie in 3 to 5 months. Volunteers could speed production. The biggest time issue is research and pre-production (finding pre-existing clips to license, locating interviewees, securing locations, fact checking, etc.). Filming and editing is relatively fast. For example, in one three-day period in Washington D.C. Logan taped 12 sit-down interviews.

Q. Can I buy just one DVD instead of a box of 100?

A. No, our goal is to raise a large quantity of funds in a short period of time so as to complete the movie as soon as possible. Ask your organization or club to buy a box of 100 as a fundraiser.

You do not need a PayPal account. Click the "Continue" link on bottom left of the PayPal screen.

SICK AND SICKER: SEEKING A FINANCIAL HERO

Making a movie costs money. Camera people, sound technicians and editors don't work for free (despite my best negotiating). It costs money to rent equipment, book flights, book hotel rooms, rent cars, license news videos and music. Since the movie commenced pre-production around January 2007 we've spent almost two years seeking financing. We raised enough to complete over 50% of the movie. Our funds ran out more than a year ago. We are still on hold seeking about $200K to finish the movie and get it out before our entire medical system is taken over by government.

If you don't want the government tell you what treatment you can have, if you don't want to wait weeks for urgent heart surgery, months for cancer surgery and be refused the latest imaging to catch your problem in the first place, please help us finish this movie. Financial support is tax-deductible through our 501c3 fiscal sponsor.

2008 ZOGBY POLL: ATLAS SHRUGGED READ BY 8.1%

For the second year in a row a Freestar Media/Zogby poll found that 8.1 percent of American adults have read the book Atlas Shrugged by Ayn Rand.

The sample was 1,338 adults interviewed by telephone with approximately 63 questions asked from 10/9/08 to 10/12/08. Zogby International surveys employ sampling strategies in which selection probabilities are proportional to population size within area codes and exchanges.

When asked "Have you ever read the book Atlas Shrugged by Ayn Rand?", 8.1% said "yes", 91.7% said "no" and 0.2% were not sure. The margin of error of the poll is +/- 2.7 percentage points. This result matches the 8.1 percent result from the 2007 Atlas Shrugged survey

Those living in the West (14%) are most likely to say they have read Ayn Rand, followed by those in the East (11%), the South (6%) and the central U.S. (4%). Democrats (11%) are more likely than independents (9%) and Republicans (6%) to say they have read the book. College graduates (17%) are the most likely education group to say they have read Atlas Shrugged, and those who earn more than $100,000 a year (15%) are the most likely income bracket to have read the book.

SEEKING STORIES FROM CANADA'S HEALTH CARE UTOPIA

American politicians think Canada is a health care utopia. I'd like to hear what Canadians have to say. Send in your stories to logan (at) freestarmovie (dot) com. Michael Moore thinks waiting lists are no big deal. What do you think? Send in your waiting list stories from your personal network and those you've heard about in the media. And, I have a special sub-category for emergency room stories. Waiting two years for a hip replacement is pretty bad but waiting two hours in the ER while bleeding on the floor is even worse.

What's in it for you? First, if you call attention to these problems you might help fix them. The life you save could be your own. Second, if you are personally involved in a story we may put you in the movie. Third, if you are good at uncovering these stories we may put you on the payroll. However, if you are paranoid about speaking out against the government which has so much control over your life we understand—you can remain anonymous.

We do not have release information right now. It will be provided as soon as it is available.

MOVIE TO EXPOSE "SINGLE PAYER" MEDICINE SEEKS DONATIONS

In 2005 our property rights were destroyed by the Kelo vs. City of New London ruling. Thank you for joining the protest against this ruling whereby we tried to have those Supreme Court justices who voted in favor of this ruling live under it.

Now forces are gathering to make another big power grab. This one could threaten your life.

Imagine getting cancer or some other serious illness and being prohibited by law from paying for immediate treatment. In "single payer medicine" everyone is forced to pay into a government-run system and everyone is forced to wait in line as the government slowly doles out care.

If you think single payer medicine can't happen in America you probably thought the Supreme Court would never rule that cities can take your home for a shopping mall. Think again. Many of our freedoms have been lost after the third, forth or fifth attempt.

Freestar Movie, LLC is ready to make a movie called Sick and Sicker that exposes the reality of single payer medicine in Canada, discovers the root cause of American's health care crisis and offers decisive solutions. Our goal is to release this movie shortly after the release of Michael Moore's pro-socialized medicine movie Sicko (Summer 2007). With sufficient funding we can set in motion multiple production teams and complete it in time.

While it's not the "Lost Liberty Hotel" I do have several ideas that will expose the rotten core of socialized medicine while offering a few laughs at the same time. But I need your help right now. If just one person could step forward and make a sizeable donation we can tape a short teaser video that should help raise the remainder of the budget.

Even a few thousand dollars would get me out in the field making this movie instead of sitting in my office trying to raise funds. If you donate you will: 1) Help defeat socialized medicine 2) Foil Michael Moore 3) Get a tax deduction (our sponsor is a 501c3 organization)

MOVIE ABOUT EMINENT DOMAIN ABUSE PUT ON HOLD

The movie about the eminent domain abuse and the Lost Liberty Hotel has been put on hold. Because the topic of socialized medicine is more timely Logan will finish "Sick and Sicker" before returning to his movie on eminent domain abuse. The eminent domain movie is also in need of additional financing.

GOVERNMENT TAKES HALPER HOME AND FARM

The Government of Piscataway, New Jersey
didn't want anyone to see it stealing the Halper home and 75 acre farm. However, several local newspaper photographers and three Freestar cameramen were on the property every day and often at night as well. Their solution, fine the Halpers $4,000 a day for each day they remain on the property in defiance of the court order to leave. This fine would eventually increase to $10,000 a day.

So Larry and Clara Halper had no choice but to leave. Thursday night they spent the night in a hotel and everyone else went home as well. It seems the government won again, just as they did in New London.

This morning Mark Halper showed up early to remove some of his equipment from the farm. According to Mark, a police officer guarding the Halper property said that the Piscataway SWAT team was sent in to storm the property in the middle of the night. Freestar is trying to verify this. So far, the Piscataway government is refusing to comment but is likewise not denying it.

Friday, June 23, 2006: Anniversary of the Kelo vs. City of New London ruling

PLAN B: THE LOST LIBERTY AIRPORT

Video Press Release by Satellite at 4 a.m. ET June 23

WEARE, N.H., June 22 /U.S. Newswire/ -- An undisclosed New Hampshire town is considering applying the Supreme Court's "Kelo vs. City of New London" decision on those justices who voted for it on the one year anniversary of the ruling.

The Lost Liberty Airport is the latest project by Logan Darrow Clements to fight eminent domain abuse. It arrives on the June 23 anniversary of the Supreme Court decision that set loose a wave of home and land seizures across America.
-
A Selectman for the town that is considering the proposal said, "The Supreme Court's Kelo decision was abhorrent. We are slowly losing our individual rights through bad legislation and a misguided judiciary. Perhaps the only way we can stop this trend is to have the people who create and sustain these laws live under them. That's why I as a Selectman in a New Hampshire town will do my best to get my town to support and carry out the plan for the Lost Liberty Airport."

According to the U.S. Supreme Court's ruling in "Kelo vs. City of New London" a government may use eminent domain to seize homes and land to promote economic development or increase tax revenue. Meanwhile, New Hampshire statute XXXIX chapter 423 allows a town to seize land for an airport outside its border. Since this statute does not require the land to be adjacent territory any town in New Hampshire could seize land inside any other town. Thus any town in New Hampshire could seize David Souter's land in Weare, N.H. or Stephen Breyer's land in Plainfield, N.H. for the creation of an airport. Both Souter and Breyer voted in favor of the Kelo ruling.

The airports will be operated by a victim of eminent domain abuse. Thor Solberg owns a private airport in Readington, N.J., which could soon be taken by eminent domain using the logic of the Kelo ruling. On May 16, 2006 the voters of Readington approved a bond authorizing the acquisition of Thor's land. Solberg's Airport, which was built by his father, hosts one of the largest hot air balloon festivals on the East Coast.

Said Solberg before the vote, "If the government takes my airport by eminent domain I am ready, willing and able to run the Lost Liberty Airports in New Hampshire. Our annual hot air balloon festival has been remarkably successful. Thousands of people from all over the country attend annually. It could be a real asset to the local economy and it's guaranteed to put your town on the map."

Said Clements, "An airport makes a great anniversary gift for a Supreme Court Justice who likes eminent domain."

The motto for the Lost Liberty Airports will be "Live Free or Fly."

A video about the planned airports will be distributed by satellite to TV newsrooms across the nation as follows:

Time: Friday, June 23, 2006, 04:00 A.M. ET
Satellite: IA6/21C
SubCarriers: 6.2/6.8
Downlink Frequency: 4120MHz (V)

The video will also be made available for download on the Internet. Instructions will appear at http://www.freestarmedia.com when they are ready.

On June 23 arrangements will also be made so that reporters can verify the authenticity of the Selectman via a reputable law firm. The Selectman wishes to remain anonymous until he can rally a majority of his town to support the Lost Liberty Airport project.

The Eminent Domain Movie

LENIN GIVES AWARD TO MAYOR WAHLER

Piscataway, N.J. Mayor and eminent domain abuser Brian Wahler receives an award for confiscation of private property from Vladimir Lenin as part of Logan's movie about eminent domain abuse.

Mayor Wahler reacted to the award by sending a large portion of the Piscataway police force to intimidate us. Ultimately we had to run to our cars and flee as it seemed quite likely that the police would confiscate our tapes.

SEND US YOUR VIDEOS

Freestar is making a movie about eminent domain abuse. As part of that movie it seeks to have a collage of EDA victims all saying the same basic sentence with different specifics. If you or someone you know has been a victim of EDA please send us a videotape of them saying this sentence with the specifics of the case.

"My name is (your name here), the government of (your city and state) (is taking or has taken)
my (home, business, or land) for a (shopping mall, condo development, etc.. keep it < 5 words).

Please follow this format exactly and don't alter it at all. The total length should be under 10 seconds. We prefer miniDV tapes but can handle all formats. Set your camera to the ratio of 15 x 9 (for movie screens), 30 fps, and make sure the audio is of very high quality (minimal background noise). Be sure the lighting is good and you have a clean (not a busy) background. The victim should be framed in the shot as a head to waist shot (not full body). Mail your tape to: Freestar Media, LLC, 7657 Winnetka Avenue, #707, Canoga Park, CA 91306. Even better, save your video on your computer as a QuickTime file and e-mail it to logan@freestarmedia.com. By submitting your video you give us permission to use it in our movie.

The Lost Liberty Hotel

On Monday June 27, 2005 Freestar Media, LLC informed the Towne of Weare, New Hampshire that it wants to begin the permit process to build a hotel on the land owned by U.S. Supreme Court Justice David H. Souter. Mr. Souter was one of five justices who voted in the "Kelo vs. City of New London" decision to allow city governments to take land from one private owner and give it to another if the government believes it will generate greater tax revenue or other economic benefits when the land is developed by the new owner.

This is where we would like to build our hotel. Click on photos to enlarge.
